Irish Padre
I've bought a few new Kato locos recently and have noticed that they come with a plastic bracket holding the wheels in place. Is this just a transit protection device or do I need to be trying to fit it on every time I put the locos back in their boxes? It just seems a bit fiddly to do! Thanks Link to comment
Nick_Burman
It's a transit protection device, but it also helps getting locos in and out of the box without damaging teeny-weeny details. Also helps the loco fit snugly in the box. Better keep using it. Cheers NB Link to comment
kvp
For some locomotives putting the locomotive back without the bracket will damage the detail parts if the box is moved, since this is what keeps the weight of the locomotive off of them. Link to comment
