katoftw
http://www.japan-guide.com/news/0031.html The Kansai Hiroshima pass looks good. Lake Biwa, Nara, Kyoto, Osaka, all the way down to Hiroshima + ferry. No idea if they sell 1 Yamaguchi pass. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Yes, a good deal there. If I wasn't living in Japan, that Kansai/Hiroshima pass would be attractive. Coupled with a few Surutto Kansai Three Day or Two day passes, you can get a solid, concentrated ten days of good train watching/riding on both JR and private railways. Link to comment
Jensen
Thx for the info. I agree the new pass look good and price good too. Shame I won't be able to use it since I'm travelling there over the new year as the new pass (including wide area) are more practical. I can always save it for my next trip, as I wanted to visit Hiroshima and Fukuoka (again). The new JR West Wide Area pass work out cheaper per day (internet). Good thing they scrapping the old Sanyo pass, as I don't find them price competitively. Link to comment
