Kato79
I have a Hornby DCC Select Controller & I'm wondering if I can connect that to Kato N gauge Unitrack to control my Kato N scale trains? Link to comment
VJM
But you don't really want to do that. Link to comment

E6系
Hello ozman2009, There is no problem with using the Hornby DCC Select Controller. Link to comment
westfalen
Obviously you have to install decoders in the trains but otherwise I can't see why not. Link to comment
E6系
You do not need to use Hornby decoders, either. Link to comment
kvp
Just watch for the number of trains, since afaik the output is 1 A. That's about 1 normal sized japanese train running and 2 standing or 2 smaller ones moving and another 2 or 3 standing. Accessories should be powered from somewere else, otherwise you might overload the tranformer. If you upgrade it, then you can have up to 10 trains. The number of DCC addresses is rather low at 59 and the number of accessories is 38. A more standard DCC station should support 127 locomotives and 127 accessories in the short addressing mode, but this is not required for small layouts. If you have more trains, just park them on unpowered sections of track. Link to comment
