1:1 scale Gundam

Wow, quite a site at night! had not seen it all lit up at night yet!

 

doubt can reproduce that in the model w/o spending a looooooot of time and effort!

The Gundam is attracting quite large crowds to the Odaiba site.  Apparently there are even boat rides offered so fans can take pictures from the water.  According to a morning TV show, the most popular camera angle is looking up from the back, focusing on the jet pack.

Man, I've jsut saw photos of these. Unbelievably huge! I want the same on my balcony!!!

Considering it's 1:1 scale, it'd be about 18 meters tall =)

And weight 35 tons... a bit big for my balcony, I know. But it would have been so nice there. Maybe I will put a smaller version on my futur layout.

so it looks like the 1:1 gundam one is going into an animation theme park in tokyo. looks like there have been some decal changes

My garden available as well if they need a place to put it. Not sure what the neighbors would think of it...

 

Then again, not that far from where I live is a guy who has old fighter jets in his garden, so a Gundam shouldn't be a problem right? :)
