Irish Padre
Hi everyone, I'm just starting out into the world of Unitrack and wondered if a V2 set would fit inside a V6? Sorry if that's a really stupid question!! Thanks David Link to comment
Kamome
Hi David Welcome to the world of Unitrack. The V6 set has R348-45 degress curves which fit perfectly on the outside of R315-45 degrees curves in the V2 set. I have the R348-45 degree viaduct curves which fit flush with the viaduct curves in the V2 set so the standard R348s should give you a bit of extra space. Just be a bit wary of the pantograph clearance if you add the catenary mounts to the V2 supports. Link to comment
Irish Padre
Thanks Kamome - that's most helpful. Exactly what I needed to know! Link to comment
NJHA
Just be a bit wary of the pantograph clearance if you add the catenary mounts to the V2 supports. Don't know if the supports for the viaduct are 50mm high or not. But i tested a 50mm gap with my trains and even with pantographs elevated there is enough clearance for them to pass. The 50mm gap is measured (in my case) from the "ground" level to the bottom of the upper track. I don't think the catenary mounts will close the remaining gap but i don't have any to test :) Edited September 7, 2014 by NJHA Link to comment
