Densha
I found this news message that a railway museum has opened near Iyo-Saijo station in Shikoku on 20 July. It appears some trains are on display there but I don't know about any other things that can be seen. I don't know what the previous Gauge Changing Train is doing there though. Probably also one car preserved. Source: http://railf.jp/news/2014/07/21/182000.html 1 Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
It's the new south wing of the museum, which opened in 2007. Apparently the kiha 65, which is one of the new additions, is a particularly valuable piece. Link to comment
Densha
Maybe I should stop being lazy and just read the Japanese instead of using google translate. When I read the Japanese it actually mentions that indeed one of the four GCT cars are preserved. But if I read the KiHa 65 part I would think that they say that it's the only one remaining, which is nonsense because they are still running on Kyushu (or am I wrong?). Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
The kiha 65 in Kyushu was scrapped sometime after June 2013. Link to comment
