MV-22 Osprey visits Sapporo for first time

2 Ospreys arrived at Okadama Airport within Sapporo city limits this afternoon, they will be on display during the air show at Okadama tomorrow.  This is the first visit of the type to Hokkaido.

Those are usually on the back of the seat before you... :)

However large military cargo planes do have a few nice rows of normal seats.

Nope, they have been in service awhile now.

Heavy helicopters.  Twice as fast, and go five times farther.

The crashes were early in the service life of the type.  There have been no crashes in Japan.  The SDF has 17 on order, apparently they will be based at Saga Airport in support of the new Japanese marine unit based at Sasebo.
