HantuBlauLOL
Is it possible to control a double tracked layout with just one DC controller? Mine is tomix N1. I used to have 2 of them, but one is broken If possible, how? Link to comment
kvp
Just connect the output of the controller to both tracks with an Y cable. You might want to add two on-off power switches, so at least you can stop trains on both tracks, even though you can't control their speed individually. If you want to go in opposite directions, then insert the power feeds that way (both should point outward from the center line), just make sure the two loops are electrically isolated at the track level to avoid shorts. HantuBlauLOL
Sounds like a plan.. Btw if i invert the power feed to make the trains runs on opposite way, can i switch lane without getting shorts? Link to comment
kvp
No. For that, you need two double pole triple throw switches, so you can set both polarities or disconnect the power. However imho, you should just get another controller or get your 2nd one repaired. Link to comment
