The Next Station Is...
I came across this Tomix product and I find it a really bizarre thing. Is it prototypical? Is there really a playground built under elevated railway tracks like this somewhere in Japan? I just can't see it being a very nice place to build such a thing! http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10019264 Link to comment

Remember, Japan has a dearth of buildable space, especially for recreational facilities, so any vacant space is regularly used. Cheers NB Edited July 12, 2014 by Nick_Burman Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
prototype pictures *it helps that space under viaducts doesn't attract the blight and antisocial activity to the extent in western countries. 1 Link to comment
The Next Station Is...
Wow, I'm impressed. You certainly wouldn't see recreational areas that nice under railway tracks in the UK. The photos are a great inspiration for layout modules; thank you very much Bikkuri! Link to comment
Guest ___
I've seen everything from playgrounds next door to love hotels under viaducts to car dealerships next door to 900 shinto shrines under a viaduct. If there's space it will be used for something. Link to comment
