JR East to move Iidabashi Station by 200 meters to reduce safety risks

Sometimes it really feels as if Japan has an unlimited source of infrastructure money, but I know they don't.

I wonder if they'll re-use the existing stationhouse off Waseda Dori. Currently there's 100m of gradually sloping ramp but replacement with stairs and a couple elevators could shorten that considerably.

If Google Maps is correct, it appears JR East will move the boarding platforms so the west end of the platform will be right next to the Waseda Dori bridge. This will mean the connecting passageway from the platform will have to be extended to reach back to the Tokyo Metro Iidabashi Station, though.

On the old maps, the station was not reaching so much north east into the curve, so the post war platform extension created the current situation. Moving the platforms back south west, so they will be under the old station building is a good solution. Adding escalators and a lift will also make it more comfortable for passangers. It couldn't cost that much either, since both buildings can be kept along with the current tozai line connection. Personally i would even keep the current platform extension and just add fences to the unused sections so the stairs at the north east end could be reached. Are there any drawings of the planned changes?
