Keihan has trains with seats the are stowed over the doors.  I can't find a video of the seat lowering or being raised, but this shows it stowed.

That would have to be one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. The railways here couldn't do that, the door would get stuck half way down and you wouldn't be able to use the seat or the door.
