cteno4
Permil has a few new buildings that are now looking nice and not so horribly priced. sounds like some are precolored lasercut, guessing laser board and thin wood. http://www.1999.co.jp/search_e.asp?Typ1_c=104&SC=28&Typ=0&sortID=0&scope=1&urikire=0&andor=0&scope2=0&SFlt_f=0&SFilter=Manufacturer&ItKey=Permil+(M`s+Craft)&SPage=1 has anyone bought and/or made any of these yet? curious how they mark up against sankei structures. seems like the same basic approach. its nice as they seem to be making different things than sankei which is really nice to have a broader spectrum of structures! jeff Link to comment
cteno4
Just got the permil suburban store at the bargain sale at HS. Bit disappointed in the permil as they are just painted high density white cardboard that is laster cut. It's not as nice as the high quality precolored chipboard that sankei uses, which is much stiffer and harder and no edge coloring is needed. The boards are already a bit warped on this larger structure out of the package, it's definitely going to need some internal bracing to hold up. Also going to need coloring to the edges because of this. It was also missing any clear acetate for the windows, don't know if it comes with it or not. They have three different sets of stickers for the sinage on the building which is nice. It's nice that permil is doing larger structures, but with the cheaper material they will need bracing for the long run. Cheers, jeff Link to comment
