This is old hat to us Amerikajin but I thought I'd link for the international crew...

 

nycsubway.org has comprehensive track maps of the entire network. These started out as gigantic GIF files back in the day and have been continuously updated for about 20 years now.

 

Lower Manhattan

Upper Manhattan + Bronx

Brooklyn

Queens

I get to take these Subways everyday....it is the fastest way to get around the city but it's not cheep.....but quicker and less than a taxi
