cteno4
interesting. these look home made. they did the the motors turning nice and slow! tomytec and faller (also packaged by model power) also have ones you can buy. also some desk models out there now and then that are close to n scale. some threads here http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/5327-tomytec-windturbine/?hl=%2Bwind+%2Bturbine http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/3452-wind-turbines/?hl=%2Bwind+%2Bturbine http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/3452-wind-turbines/?hl=%2Bwind+%2Bturbine cheers jeff Link to comment
Densha
The Tomytec one looks too plasticy and toy-like, and let me guess, the Faller one is terribly expensive? Link to comment
cteno4
Just needs some dull coat and a tad of weathering to get it off the plastic white. Even just a coat of flat white would also do it. The faller is about $40 here in the us. The model power version a bit less and on great sale for a while last year for like $22 and you also got the haunted house model thrown in for some odd reason. But model power recently threw in the towel... http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/Faller-N-232251-Wind-Generator-with-Motor-1-p/flr-232251.htm http://www.modelpower.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=1583 Haven't seen the cheap desk models for a while now, wish I had grabbed a few more of those!
