westfalen
Three of us went for dinner at the Niagara curry restaurant in Yutenji this evening. Down the street was a tiny park with a signal and a driving wheel set from C57 117. 1 Link to comment

westfalen
Spent today riding trains and trams and things around Tokyo, finally managed to ride all the way to the Waseda end of the Arakawa tram line. A visit to Akihabara this evening was cut short by rain so only visited Shosen Book Tower and Tam Tam, might head back there on Saturday if I have time. Never seem to have enough time to do everything I want to in Tokyo. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
I see you made it out to the Tokorozawa area. I like the remodeled station-thankfully they didn't elevate it (pity about the old style platform details disappearing though). I usually take a break at the Tully's cafe inside the concourse area. Densha
That Seibu terminal station is so damn spacious for a Japanese station; usually everything is cramped in the smallest space possible. Link to comment

That's a red herring. Seibu Kyujo-mae station averages only 9,356 passengers a day. Its located in front of the Seibu Dome, home of the Saitama Seibu Lions of the Nippon Professional Baseball Pacific league. Most of the tracks are for overflow on event days. Only bought a half dozen containers and a Sankei building kit so far, nothing has really caught my eye so far though I will try and hit some more hobby shops in Akihabara tomorrow after my room mate and I do a couple of laps on the Disneyland monorail. Raining all day today so went back to hotel at Meguro early and had dinner at the Mos Burger down the street with window overlooking the Yamanote Line. 1 Link to comment

I think most of the tracks are used to layover trains. These days there may be Tokyu trains from Baystar territory in Yokohama, Yakult Swallow fans from Shinjuku or Yomiuri Giant fans from Tokyo. miyakoji
I'm glad you made it home safely, west. Thanks for all the pics. It's only an hour difference between you and JST, isn't it? For me it's half a day. Does that make the trip easier or harder? :) Link to comment
westfalen
My total photo count for this trip was 3204, kilometres traveled 7416.4. You don't really notice the hour time difference and its only an 8-9 hour flight so it's not a hard trip. 1 Link to comment
Densha
So that's an average of about 1 photo per 2,3 kilometre. 2 Link to comment
