bill937ca
Toei has a feature on its web site that allows you to track its streetcars. The options are Format (series), Car number Wrapping Advertisers Wrapping information products/planning name As I post this at 0830 (2130 in Tokyo) and select 7000 format, it shows streetcars 7001, 7003, 7016, 7018, 7023, 7030, 7031 are in service. Streetcars 7007, 7017 and 7023 are in the garage. The display also tells you the destination, next expected stop and approach information with (in this case) the next two car numbers. When I look at the groups of streetcars I see some cars must be missing. This may only apply to special paint scheme streetcars and wrapped or former wrapped streetcars. Someday transponders may be standard equipment but not yet. This feature only works in Japanese. If I use Chrome I can then translate the results on screen. bikkuri bahn
Apparently the special paint schemes have some significance (a "lucky car", etc). Thus the tracking. Link to comment
