Zeether
Central Florida's new commuter rail service, SunRail, opened last week and they offered free rides until May 16, so I took a trip out to Winter Park yesterday and rode a northbound to DeBary and back. I got a couple of videos too. Not the best quality wise sadly since I had only my phone camera on me. The second video was taken at around 6:00 AM because I decided to get there super early before the trains got crowded. https://www.dropbox.com/s/eskg9mf46osftr8/2014-05-07%2008.09.32.mp4 https://www.dropbox.com/s/oe70rvvj5nuleor/2014-05-07%2006.07.04.mp4 https://www.dropbox.com/s/zggq0rg6tm6w12x/2014-05-07%2006.40.22.mp4 (you can hear my voice in this one, lol) Pretty nice overall, it's basically Central FL's version of Tri-Rail right down to the push-pull operation and the Bombardier cars, they also had a couple of Tri-Rail's DMUs parked off near DeBary station but I heard they can't really use them on the line due to bad acceleration + slight grades. As of now the line goes from Sand Lake to DeBary and by 2016 it will extend a little farther outward. Edited May 8, 2014 by Zeether 3 Link to comment
