Okay, so I'm kind of mad that I didn't know about this until tonight...

 

Nintendo declared 2013 as "The Year of Luigi" in order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the character's debut.  As part of the celebration, they decorated Chicago's L train (har har) in Luigi-themed wrapping.

Being a New Yorker I can't image what would have happened if they celebrated "The Year of the Luigi" on a NYC subway train?
