nik_n_dad
Hello. We have a particular #6 turnout that is right after exiting the a the super-elevated curve set. Some of our engines will derail when they hit this turnout, some don't. We have the same track configuration on another part of the layout and no issues at all. I know one "shouldn't" have a turnout right after a curve, but sometimes one has to do what one has to do. That said, any thoughts on helping to alleviate the problem? I know some people have filed on the track for #4 switches. Could it be a semi-flakey turnout? Other things? as always, thanks in advance. Link to comment
cteno4
Nik, Yep that just asks for it and I expect the superelevation contributes as well. Worth trying a different point in there. Notching the rails for the blade might work, if you can't change the plan. I can dig up the #4 mod instructions from the unitrak yahoo group if you want. Good luck. Jeff Link to comment
