new content on mobile Chrome and Firefox

I've noticed that what I'm signed in on my phone, if I go to the New Content page, it will not show any new posts, but if I go to it a second time, it will work correctly.  This is reproducible.  I've tried deleting history and cookies, and also deleting all app data through Settings -> Apps.  On desktop Firefox there is no problem.
