Kato to Tomix coupling

Quick question here.  Will Tomix Shinkansen cars couple to Kato Shinkansen cars?  I'd like to add cars to the Kato 10-491 800 series Kyushu set using the Tomix 92280 Kyushu Shinkansen 800 series set.

on a side note - why would you wanna add more cars?  6 car units are what they come in real life.

Without having looked at the 800 specifically, the general answer is no. Even if they did/do, you probably dont want to do this as there will be a slight mismatch between the kato and tomix colors and shapes. Anyway, the 800 shinkansen runs as 6 cars prototypically. If
