Here are a number of very interesting zenmen tenbou videos of scenic routes on JR Kyushu lines:

 

YouTube member ato5kgyasetaito filmed this scenic video of the JR Kyushu Hisatsu Line from Yashiro to Hitoyoshi Stations on a JR Kyushu KiHa 31 DMU:

 

 

Anyone who's seen videos of the SL Hitoyoshi steam excursion train should be very familiar with the scenery on this route. (Indeed, you see the train at the very end of the video at Hitoyoshi Station.) Note the large number of people leaving the train at Sakamoto Station--the poster thinks there may have been an event sponsored by the Sakamoto village association.

 

YouTube member spaceinokiman filmed this video of the Aso Boy limited express excursion train from Kumamoto to Miyaji Stations on the Hōhi Main LIne with its special KiHa 183-1000 DMU, including the famous switchback at Tateno:

spaceinokiman also posted a video of the Yufuin no Mori limited express excursion train from Yufuin to Hakata Stations on the Kyūdai Main Line and Kagoshima Main on the unique KiHa 72 DMU:

Note something unusual about this excusion train: it has announcements in English in addition to Japanese.

An update: here is a full-length (over three hours long!) of a complete trip on the Yufuin no Mori limited express excursion train from Hakata all the way to Beppu, taken on the day of the 25th Anniversary of the start of Yufu excursion service:

 

 

The wide window design of the KiHa 71/72 DMU trainset makes for some of the best views for a zenmen tenbou video.

Nice thread! It's kinda like a preview to my Kyushu trip next year, when I can finally get on these trains and experience for myself! Super excited at the SL Hitoyoshi, and so many more like the Isaburo-Shinpei, Hayato-No-Kaze, Yufuin-no-Mori and many more.

 

I'll be sure to post some videos/ pictures then, though i'm sure it's not as professional as this 3 hour zenmen video!

I really like the Yufuin no Mori video I posted because the camera placement was just perfect--you get truly a great view of everything out front.  :) It's especially spectacular once you start traveling the full length of the Kyudai Main Line from Kurume to Ōita.
