marknewton
This looks interesting: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10259137 Since the Microace Kiha 40 is out of production, and pre-owned examples are expensive and hard to get, I think these will be popular. I'm ordering three. Cheers, Mark. Edited January 24, 2014 by marknewton 2 Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Pity they are set up to be only display models, though I reckon they are convertible to be running models. It's interesting Neko Publishing is getting into the model rlwy. scale kit business, apparently they see some potential for profits there. I see they have chosen the 2000 sub-series- these were built for warmer climate operations in western Japan (or rather west of the Kanto region). Link to comment
catcliffedemon
It does look interesting, I've been after a couple of Microace Kiha 40s for ages but so far with zero luck. What are the chances of them ever producing another run? Seems crazy for companies like Microace and Tomix to sit on their older HO gauge tooling. At least Kato re-runs stuff from time to time. Anyway, I'm watching the development of this with more than my usual interest. My inspiration is as follows (click on images for hi-res versions): Link to comment
