kvp
Looks beautiful and you made quite a lot of progress. Weathering the track would be nothing compared to the grass. Link to comment
katoftw
Looks great. What is the station you have used? Been looking for something very similar for a long time. Link to comment

I used this kit both for the stop and the station: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tomytec-Building-018-Station-Local-Station-1-150-N-scale-/121259153352?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item1c3b9bd7c8 Link to comment

Matteo_IT
Good work IST... it'sa nice layout. Now, as you have learned more ways to model, the next layout will be better...! Link to comment
kvp
Now, as you have learned more ways to model, the next layout will be better...! I hope so, since hopefully that will be our club layout, and someone will be needed with more layout building experince than myself... So I'm really happy that at least IST knows how to make good scenery. Edited March 15, 2014 by kvp Link to comment
IST
Next layout? I have to finish this one first. :) I have some pedestrians, cars, cycles, so have to figure out how to place them. And I cleared the white flower area, because I did not like it, I try to reinstall it on a better way. Beside of this I ordered a Woodland Scenics box filled with dark green bushes, plus a club member gave me some trees to place them. And I would like to try something with a Kato bus. So I have a lot to do... Link to comment
IST
Nothing special happened in the last few weeks: I made some tree but have to paint them, put some cars to their places, so my layout started to be a living town. One of my friend helped me and cut the door out from a Kato bus, so we could insert a passenger into the door. I will place the bus to the shelter and will build a small queue. On the pictures it can not be seen, but there is a busdriver and a sitting passenger also in the bus now. 2 Link to comment

IST
I added more people as I got a package from Japan. Here are the first 2 pictures, but I plan to add more and more figure in the next days, so I will come with more pics. "Yamada san! I have a great offer for you." "Where is the tram? I am just standing here and waiting and waiting." 4 Link to comment
katoftw
Looks great. The layout has come along way from the midwest days. (Too early for jokes?) Link to comment

IST
"I hope it is open now." "Who let the dog out?" "I am hurrying home, but the barrier is always closed." "The newspaper says there will be a more frequent service here from 2014." "Is there a coin on the ground or not?" "See, Miyazaki is waiting for us." "Daddy, finally you arrived!" "Arrgh, a queue again in the bus stop, although here is the tram line as well." "Oh how I hate to clean this road!" 7 Link to comment

cteno4
Sorry forgot to say excellent job on the micro scenes! Really makes a small layout like the be something folks will look closer and scorer at and walk away remembering a larger and even more detailed layout! IST
Thanks guys! I brought some pictures about today's work: "I finish my cigarette and start to work again." "Honey, you know that we have to visit the hairdresser. If you will be brave I will buy you a toy train!" "I am so lucky that Toshio drove on this way and could pick me up. It is not so unconfortable." The layout got some trees: I finished to build this layout for a while, although it has not been completed fully (I was thinking about some weathering of the buildings, the tracks, maybe building wires between the poles, etc.), but at this moment it is nice to see it and watch it while a tram makes its roundy-roundy route. I have other projects (British T-trak modules, Hungarian modules, Japanese modules), I think I learned some basic modelling skills during the construction of this micro layout. It was also nice to see how many of you commented in this forum and watched my pictures. 3 Link to comment

Ken Ford
I really like this little layout - it's inspiring me to try something similar with the CV1 Unitrack set I picked up to make a test track. Nice work! Link to comment
ToniBabelony
For clarification what you have is a 'mini' layout not a 'micro' layout. In general a 'micro' layout does not exceed 355mm x 457mm. (and even that's to big for me) From the Carendt.com website:“Micro layouts are small model railroads, usually less than three or four square feet in area, that nonetheless have a clear purpose and excellent operating capability.” 4 ft2 = 0.371612 m2 580 mm * 390 mm = 226200 mm2 = 0.2262 m2 0.2262 m2 = 2.4347965363 ft2 This is even below 3 ft2 1 Link to comment
