Nick_Burman
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10247129 Looks interesting...Mark Newton could consider getting a few to use as MOW equipment on Komatsu... Cheers NB Link to comment
marknewton
Tempting, Nick, very tempting. They'd also go well with my B6 0-6-2T if I wanted to run a Meiji-era freight train. Thanks for posting this link, looks like I'll have to chase some more overtime! :) All the best, Mark. Link to comment
Densha
You don't often see model trains from this era do you? Link to comment
marknewton
No, not as a rule. Although I did notice a beautiful - and very expensive - brass model of a Nippon Tetsudo 4-4-0 for sale recently. I think that modelling the early eras of any country's railways is always going to be a very specialised niche, and that would be true for Japanese HO in particular. The only reason I got the B6 was to rework the model to reflect their appearance at the end of their working lives. Being the procrastinator that I am, the only thing I've managed to do with it so far is replace the rather agricultural motor and drive with something a litle more up-market - a Portescap motor and integral gearbox. And that's as far as I've got with it to date. All the best for 2014, Mark. Link to comment
