katoftw
The C56 thread got me thinking more about something that I have been curious about for a while. What trains have you come accross that are able to run on R150 curves? Trams can, Procket Line series can also, and the C56 is confirmed. What else? kvp
Since i'm mostly using tomix R140 curves and switches all my stock must run on them. All tomytec train collection trains run on R140, the shorter ones can even run on R103. My old ED75 and ED61 also run on R140 too, with oha50 and ohafu33 coaches. The tomix 113 series too, including S curves. The general rule is to have enough swing in the trucks and truck mounted rapidos to be able to go through S curves and swiches. Modemo emus can run on R140 but grind or derail on R103. Most of my longer rolling stock is close coupled with rapidos so the cars barely not touch in the curves. (the tightest is the series 113 which is factory assembled and unmodified) I would be interested in a list of current sets that can go through R140-s, including S turns and switches. Link to comment
