Back in 1974-75, the post office issued a nice series of stamps depicting steam locomotives:

I buy used Japanese stamps off ebay and, along with ones I have had on letters and bought when in Japan, use them in my train photo albums on the title slips for each picture. Makes for more interest when flicking through them.
