I recently read about a new tourist train operated by Kintetsu, the Tsudoi:

I love the exterior and interior design.

what a wonderful way to have some food and drink and watch the scenery go by! now that is the height of culture to me!

Reminds me of the short trip on the steam train at the Pennsylvania museum, except a little more modern ;)

 

 

Also, now I feel like going there again, that turkey sandwich was so good... (oh, and the trains were nice too :D )

nice how these seats face out, cant seat as many but get to see a lot more! and martijn wouldnt have had to look at me all the time!

Very beautiful train, in and out! Yes hoping for a model soon, it looks really colourful and sweet!

I think I was keeping my eye on the waitress, she was rather cute ;)

 

 

Actually, not sure how I would handle sitting facing out like that. I don't have an issue with it normally, but sitting that close to the window might be a bit weird. Guess I need to go to Japan and find out :D

I must be an old married fart now, don't remember the waitress! Glad you have that pleasant memory, you probably don't remember the loco on that train.

Not sure what loco it was pulling that train, but then again, I'm not that great in remembering all the various types and names. Heck, I can't even remember what types half my Japanese steamers are ...

ha had to go look at the pictures! well snapping pictures of the pretty girl would have been a bit obvious i guess. next time kick me and ill snap an innocent picture of you with the next pretty girl!
