Densha
The eyes look great, but the headmark looks awful with that lightning. Link to comment
ToniBabelony
MA headmarks look too bright without a sticker installed, but sometimes also WITH sticker. They should tone up their plastics a bit. Link to comment
John k
Well, in truth, the Irodori has a choice of three stickers for the blank window, and i hadnt chosen which one i wanted to install because i didnt know until i put it on the rails how bright that light was....the brightness almost drowned out her eyes! I will have to choose one before i break her out for the next show.... Link to comment
JR 500系
Very nice John! Thanks for sharing! The Irodori! she looks beautiful! I think this head sticker looks good: https://www.google.com.sg/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&docid=Gxpaai6zPbNTcM&tbnid=0kglKnVA0IVTpM:&ved=0CAUQjRw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww17.ocn.ne.jp%2F~midou%2Fn%2Fma_485n2.html&ei=Qzt_UqOFEcbDrAeTqoGwCQ&bvm=bv.56146854,d.bmk&psig=AFQjCNHjjBWXDwX9utGpncLiY0UpT2wCEA&ust=1384156278004467 It's the Original mark of the Irodori, same mark that she bears on the carriages ... I bet the squid, crab and fox bears much attention to the show~ Link to comment

Spaceman Spiff
Hi John, I see you are using the Kato expansion track to join your modules. How is that working for your club? The club I belong is just starting to modify our modules to accept the Kato expansion track to make set up go quicker. Spiff Link to comment
John k
Spiff> They seem to work pretty well. Right now we only have the set-up/front yard in Kato track......we plan to upgrade the rest of the track on the modules to KATO as we move along, but that will be a long-term project dependent upon club funds, Unitrack availability, and available time/labor. Spaceman Spiff
John, our track is all regular flex track. We were using straight 5 inch snap track to join the modules. It was very time consuming at shows for the set up. We spend hours just putting in rail joiners :-(. As a club we our taking the plunge and adding short Kato straight sections to the flex track so we can use the expansion track to join the modules. It certainly isn't cheap as we have 115 sections of track to modify not counting the yard. The yard will need another 48 or so if we decide to do it. Good thing we get good pricing from Locohobby :-) Spiff Link to comment
