cteno4
any 12vdc transformer works. you can cut it down in groups of 3 leds (resistor and three leds in series to 12v). at each cut points there are little solder pads to attach your power feeds to them. can be had on ebay in rolls of 5m (300 leds) for as low as a few bucks but usually like $5-10 jeff Link to comment
zibbu
Yeah, any 12v transformer can be used. Today, i'm starting to install definitely my leds (and hide holes of lights) : 1 Link to comment

Keikyu
That looks fantastic. I wish I could easily light up stuff like that. Link to comment
ToniBabelony
You can easily hide the light coming through with aluminium foil. Unless you want to make an interior, you'd need to hide the foil with extra panels. Link to comment

kvp
Nice details! :) Did you connect the leds as a single circuit or as 3 separately switcable ones? Edited February 10, 2014 by kvp Link to comment
ToniBabelony
Man that looks awesome! Every time I see the Kato overhead station, it makes me want to get one too. The light only makes it better. Link to comment
JR 500系
Very nicely done! Agreed with Toni, the Kato station looks great in those lights ~ But my layout wouldn't have the space to accommodate one anymore... Link to comment
zibbu
Thank you everybody Nice details! :) Did you connect the leds as a single circuit or as 3 separately switcable ones? The main station circuit is separate as 6 parallels. The konbini will be add to this one. Link to comment
zibbu
Some news from my layout. Tracks and station's elements aren't fixed yet because i would like to make my control panel first & define exactly the position of decoration. Edited February 15, 2014 by zibbu 3 Link to comment
