ChrisV
Can anyone tell me is the train that runs from Osaka to Kansai Airport. I am sure I caught this one but I failed to get a good look at it when I travelled in January. Does anyone have the Kato version and does it have a tilt mechanism in it ? Pic from HW Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
That is the one that runs between Osaka and Kansai Airport yes. No clue if it has a tilt mechanism thought, not possible to see on any pictures I've found either. Link to comment
CaptOblivious
Yes, this is the train that runs to Kansai airport. Don't know about the prototype, but Kato's model doesn't seem to have a tilt mechanism. Kato has a re-release on the schedule for June, keep your eyes open! http://www.katomodels.com/product/nmi/281kei.shtml Link to comment

clem24
Oddly I have 2 of these sets and one is for sale. Tiny nick on the chrome trim on one end car. Otherwise complete (manual/case/sleeve). PM me if interested. Located in Canada. BTW it does not tilt and neither does the prototype. Link to comment
ChrisV
Just an update. Picked up my 281 Haruka yesterday from a Hobby shop in Sydney who just restocked their Kato line. What a sweet model. Link to comment
Bernard
That is a nice train and you're lucky that you LHS stocks Japanese prototypes. In New York it's almost impossible to find a LHS that stocks the Japanese RR. Link to comment
scott
Isn't it nice? I have Clem's extra now.... :) Link to comment
ChrisV
I was lucky to find it - there are 2 major kato suppliers in Sydney ( retailers that is ) and the city store just updated their kato range and they had this plus some other yummies in the mix. It is very nice - has not been run yet but soon. Link to comment
