It is always nice to see 115系 and 183系 in the sidings at Takao. It will be a sad day that those trains disappear. Link to comment

I believe that the 183's are used as "extra" trains for the Azusa and Kaiji limited express services on the Chūō Main Line, and the 115's are used on local service on the same line. The 183's may disappear by 2016 as the 257's are displaced to seasonal service by the new EMU sets JR East plans for this route, and it's only a matter of time before the 115's are retired, too.
