Shinkansen in HO scale

Hi,

As i have some japanese trains in HO scale, it was a must for me to have some Shinkansen.

 

Fortunately I had a serie 0 shinkansen from KTM, it was a very bad runner so i sold it.

 

Recently a frind of me send me a link to this:

And I manage to buy a 12 piece train as show on the A set.

 

The only think i can say for the moment is that it runs very very good also on small curve. (tested on the Roco geoline from a start set, about 450mm radius)

Hi,

Unfortunately, i have to buy it on ebay (there: http://stores.ebay.com/Japan-World-Store/Model-Trains-/_i.html?_fsub=2708846012) because i cannot find a webshop in Japan.

 

Next time i'll show you the JR 500 in HO.

 

I hope i can mange to buy the new E5 from Kato

Does the model of the Shinkansen come with an 8 pin Digital Command Control plug for a decoder? I am thinking about getting one of these sets.

Hi,

This train has a 21 pin socket in all motor cars, the 21 ppin decoder can manage the front and rear lights with the bipolar couplers, it works very well.

 

The front nose can also be lighted with a small switch under the carriage, i thing it was possible on the prototype and removed later, if someone can explain this.
