Quick Question - What is the "Skirt" of a Japanese Train?

Recommended Posts

Here is the Japanese text, just wondering what the "skirt" is?  Is it the front piece around the coupling, like the plow etc?

状態:スカートのみ欠品しています。

Thanks!

So it would be rude to lift a train's skirt?

I can't imagine what it's like to be slapped in the face by a locomotive... :S

Oh god Toni! Why'd you do that! How am I supposed to look at this now:

Onee-chan likes to show off! Imoto-san is always a bit embarrassed by her older counterpart... "Iyaaaa~ You're so lewd 103-san!" "Shut up! You're breaking family traditions!"

Also proof that trains are feminine.   !!!

Always assumed trains were male going in and out of all those tunnels -- symbolism along with crashing waves in the movies all the time! Perhaps they are scots, they were the early train builders!

Hello Mr Jeff,

So sorry, steam locos are male and have names like Thomas and Percy.  Diesels are male too.

EMUs are female ... they travel around in groups and all dress the same ...

Many belly laughs. And then a thought... how long until this thread gets posted to some feminist blog as "proof all model railroaders are misogynistic sexist assholes"?

Perhaps they need to make a visit to Akihabara.
