JTSB released an english translation of most of the report on the 2005 accident. one of the first to be translated like this.

This is an important report because this accident pointed out a lot of problems with the JR West Urban Network operations. It forced a number of changes in JR West management and also showed the need for more ATS sensors on the tracks.
