JR 500系
Hi there! The EF-81 locomotive you got there pulls the E-26 Cassiopeia train. Here's the information from Tomix's page: http://www.tomytec.co.jp/tomix/products/n/9127.htm There are also more information here, previously discussed: http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/7608-cassiopeia-train-infos/?hl=cassiopeia I not really sure of the entire train configration, but the E-26 can be bought in HS who does international shipping here: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10163989 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10163992 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10163995 An alternative is loco1, who can also get in the Cassiopeia for you and also does international shipping. Please look for Keitaro in this forum and send him a PM. He's a very friendly guy and i think he'll be able to help you out on this. Cheers! Link to comment
keitaro
yep that's the correct carriages. I have the set personally the tomix one is very nice as it`s the newest tooling. If you would like I can try order some in I`m generally cheaper than HS. these are the sets here. you generally need all 3 sets to make the proper consist. However if thats too big i suggest 2 A sets as you can get the rear and front carriage a Bset does not contain the front or rear. The other set comes with a EF510 and a front and middle carriage so if you want the extra loco you could get 1 EF510 set and a A set. 92408 EF510・E26系(カシオペア)基本セット ○ 92409 E26系(カシオペア)増結セットA ○ 92410 E26系(カシオペア)増結セットB ○ The sets are just re running now, 1 of the carriages has lamps pre installed. I`ll see if i can dig up a video of the set as it seems i never uploaded to you tube. Link to comment
n_scale_crazy
ok got the loco in the mail today and found I have another problem it has no pantographs. so where can I find those parts? Link to comment
E6系
Hello Mr n_scale_crazy, Please allow me to assist you with pantographs for the Cassiopeia EF510-500 locomotive. Firstly, is the product manufactured by Kato or Tomix? For Kato product please see the parts list in this link: http://www.katomodels.com/product/assy/pdf/3065-1_[EF510cassiopeia].pdf For Tomix, please advise if you have this brand. As I do not own the model I will need to search the product online. Edit for additional information: You should be able to order parts from your favourite hobby store, Loco1hobby, or Hobby Search. Davo Dentetsu
It's the EF81 he's after, however. :P Plus wasn't there an older coach set the EF81 needed? Can't recall now. Link to comment
n_scale_crazy
ok, been reading a few threads here about the Cassiopeia and that it is rare to find it for sale is there anyone on here that might be interested in this loco. looking to maybe trade for something that pulls freight or a tram or light rail. westfalen
I have seen photos of the EF81 in that paint scheme working the Hokutosei or freight trains much the same as the EH510s do today on their off days, as the Cassiopea is not a daily service they have to make use of the locos on the other days rather than have them sit idle. You could run your engine with anything. Link to comment
VJM
Yup, EF81 in Cassiopeia colours hauled freight as well. Picture from here http://yuu-fe-album.cscblog.jp/content/0001397145.html Edited September 6, 2013 by VJM Link to comment
Ochanomizu
Hello Mr n_scale_crazy, Did you say you have Kato or Tomix brand? Here is link to parts for Kato EF81: http://www.katomodels.com/product/assy/pdf/3021-6_[EF81HISASHI].pdf You will notice that number plates are also available for Kato product. It looks like you can fully restore the model for around ¥950, if you have Kato brand. I have older Tomix catalogue at my home. If you require Tomix parts please let me know and I will review my catalogue. Link to comment
n_scale_crazy
no it is a Kato product. VJM thanks for the photo that's exactly what I want to pull with it. (container flats) Link to comment
