bikkuri bahn
but maybe The JRs need to start a "watch the gap" campaign They already do, as do many of the municipal subways and private railways- often there are in-train announcements telling parents to be careful when getting off trains with their small children- there is poster in my local subway station specifically about this. The fault is all with the parents, who fail to hold the hand of their small child when exiting. Note the age of the boy- I've seen countless times where mothers fail to keep their male children under control and make half-hearted admonishments, which are duly ignored. 1 Link to comment
Jcarlton
Maybe JR needs to puts safety stickers on the doors and every other possible surface like the MTA does: http://web.mta.info/lirr/safety/WatchtheGap.html Link to comment
railsquid
he fell into the 20-cm gap It's been a while since I got off a Shinkansen in Nagoya, but a 20cm gap strikes me as unplausibly wide for the Shinkansen network. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
The aforementioned poster. Link to comment
ToniBabelony
The railways can only do so much. In the end, the children are the parents' responsibility. Link to comment
