deeslexia
I need an inexpensive/compact layout for 4x impulse buy Matchbox trams [ UK double deck outline ] approx HO. However, they can be motorised at N scale, allowing tighter curves. It seems the perfect compromise for me,although cars would be OO. I have seen some double track which would be ideal, but would need to know how far apart the tracks are so that two trams can pass. Can anyone help with this ? dee Link to comment
bill937ca
Its been done before. There is some info here. http://blog.model-train-help.com/2012/04/n-gauge-tramway.html To me the Matchbox trams don't seem to be HO. They are probably no scale as these were considered toys in my youth. :) Here's another modeler using Tomic tram track, Matchbox trams and Kato 103 shorty drive. http://tramman.wordpress.com/ http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=582.0 Edited August 19, 2013 by bill937ca Link to comment
deeslexia
Thanks for the link. I have one old small scale Matchbox tram, but have bought the Yesteryear trams which are approx HO. The layouts look promising though. I really think that N gauge track will work well though. Link to comment
