I would have liked to see more of the original JR Central 119, but then, with these updates, Echizen will probably run them for decades. Railfan News just had an item about these: http://railf.jp/news/2013/08/03/173000.html . The image shows one being transported by road from Osaka Sharyo to Hanshin's Amagasaki depot. Apparently more work will be done there on 2 cars before they're moved on to Echizen. I'd read about Osaka Sharyo before, and I thought they did all the work. It's not clear to me what they do and then what Hanshin's shop does. Link to comment
