181 Series front lights

So why exactly are the lights on my 181 a sickly green color?

 

 

 

Much like that. I did a search and other trains are showing up white in the front lights. Is there like something wrong with it?

Mine is exactly like yours, yellow (or warm white). Is it the Shioji/Hato model?

For this reason I used the same warm white leds for interior lighting:

I guess it reflects the lights used in the golden olden days.

Sometimes i wondered about the LED lights KATO has used over the years.....the late 80s-early90s, several of their NA offerings had a LED light that DID appear very greenish, while others appeared more orange-ey.....

It looks kind of eh but by the pictures I guess that means you can replace them with a more accurate LED then. I think the warm orange looks really nice for the headboard light but I'd have to find one that would work for this.
