Train music videos [鉄道PV]

Just like the title says, music and trains in a video. Apparently there's a whole "tetsudou PV" culture on youtube and niconico douga.

I'll start off with this funny song that is actually about trains; stations where Keihan's "daburu deka-" stops are called.

Apparently there are some real Keihan songs as I found out here: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E4%BA%AC%E9%98%AA%E7%89%B9%E6%80%A5_%28%E6%9B%B2%29

---------------------------------------------------------------------

This is another sort you often see, a very simple trains to the rhythm (although many are not to the rhythm at all):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N344TCDYDYo

(Song: anime Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo first ending song / Trains: Matsuyama, Ehime)

And for the JR Shikoku freak that I am here's another one:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=pdU4qqv4paY

(Not a high video quality but still nice. Song: anime Kokoro Connect 3rd ending song)

But of course it doesn't necessarily has to be an anime song, although those are still very popular with the creators of these videos. Here's another I posted a while back of the now replaced Kiha30/37/38 series on the Kururi line:

(Song: Nichiyoubi yori no Shisha by The High-Lows)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

A third kind of video I would like to share are anime songs that are mimicked with trains as close as possible. Usually at the half of the video a repeat that compares anime vs train version. Also notice that if you pay close attention you will see that the credits of the anime have also been mimicked in a funny way: instead of voice actors, producers and whatnot it features the train series and other related stuff.

I found this Tamayura opening featuring Kotoden to be very cute:

(P.S. You need to make an account at nico nico douga to view the videos. Does somebody know if and how to include the movie in a post via the javascript code provided by niconico?)

Another anime opening example is this one:

(anime Hanasaku Iroha 1st opening)

And I just can't miss out on a fripSide song so here you go with the opening of the anime Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, combined with the Kinki Tango railway, featuring a lot of great effects that make it look almost exactly like the anime just like the Tamayura one did:

---------------------------------------------------------------------

While I was making this post I discovered these videos. It's a mix-up of trains, music, a huge amount of 3D CG, anime/vocaloid/Touhou cameos, a heap of fantasy, and a bunch of other stuff I don't know. It are little stories in a few minutes.

This one for example is about the decay and following closure of a rural railway line: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm20098526

While this one is about a person who dreams of riding the old tram displayed somewhere in town: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17940522

I think it's made with this software although I'm not entirely sure: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MikuMikuDance

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope you enjoy some of the stuff I posted! Feel free to post any other music video you find!

Keihan's "daburu deka-" stops are called.

Incidentally, this seems not to have been commented anywhere else on the forum, with the withdrawal of Keihan's 1000 series one of the DD trailers (complete with the procession picture) has been sold to the Toyama Chiho, where it will be spliced into its ex-Keihan 1000 trainset to form a special train for tourist services. I wonder if they are going to maintain the procession picture...given the fact that Chitetsu repainted the train back into Keihan colours, I should think so...

I vaguely remember that somewhere on the forums it was mentioned they were retired but according to machine translated wikipedia the 3000 series with double deckers was withdrawn last March and the 8000 series from the video are still in service. I think you made a typo.

Here are some pictures of the transferred trains: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E4%BA%AC%E9%98%AA3000%E7%B3%BB%E9%9B%BB%E8%BB%8A_%28%E5%88%9D%E4%BB%A3%29#.E8.AD.B2.E6.B8.A1.E8.BB.8A.E4.B8.A1

It says something about introducing it in spring 2015 when the Hokuriku Shinkansen opens, that's quite a long while to store a car there and do nothing with it in the meantime.

Ample time for Eijii Mitooka to work on it... :-D
