John P Boogerd
Does anyone have any idea where I can get Japanese buildings like the N-scale Kato and Tomix office buildings in HO scale? Link to comment
bill937ca
Try Sankei. I can't get these to come up as a list so I give you lots of links from HS. Nothing as tall as Tomix or Kato. But I thiought there was nothing on the market. The only apartment I see is two storeys. http://www.1999.co.jp/search_e.asp?Typ1_c=104&scope=1&scope2=0&itkey=HO+Scale+Sankei http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10226790 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10201692 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10140874 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10138635 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10136522 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10129217 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10129216 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10126413 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10123347 Edited July 8, 2013 by bill937ca Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Anything modern or tall will likely be the realm of scratchbuilding or kitbashing from American/European kits. People just don't have room for layouts with such buildings, much less hobby shops with shelf space for them. Link to comment
marknewton
John, I'm not aware of any tall modern building kits in HO scale. As bikkuri bahn says, you're looking at scratchbuilding or kitbashing. A model structure that would be suitable for kitbashing is this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PIKO-Plattenbau-WBS70-Basis-Set-/370843515027?pt=DE_Modellbau_Modelleisenbahnen&hash=item5657fef893&_uhb=1 However, you might consider this as an alternative: http://scalescenes.com/products/T007-Office-Block I have started building one of these structures to go on my son's tramway layout, and I see that another forum member has built one in N scale: http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/5438-papercraft-models/page-4?do=findComment&comment=82832 Food for thought! :) Cheers, Mark.
