Jcarlton
The tale of high speed on the NEC is written in the constant improvments that go on continuously up and down the corridor. Sometimes its a big change like electifying east of New Haven and innaugerating Acela. Sometimes it's improvements like this:http://www.railwayage.com/index.php/passenger/high-performance/amtrak-sprints-toward-a-higher-speed-future.html?fb_action_ids=4921798082159%2C4921742720775%2C4921738560671&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map=%7B%224921798082159%22%3A618143701529542%2C%224921742720775%22%3A597430420277041%2C%224921738560671%22%3A434591506649123%7D&action_type_map=%7B%224921798082159%22%3A%22og.likes%22%2C%224921742720775%22%3A%22og.likes%22%2C%224921738560671%22%3A%22og.likes%22%7D&action_ref_map=%5B%5D It's not as dramatic as starting from scratch, but eventually we will get there. 1 Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Nice substantive article. Wish they could have blown-up that service pattern diagram though- it's kinda fuzzy. Link to comment
