cteno4
Found a couple of nice LED work lights last month at IKEA. first is a floor lamp that had a long goose neck. its a 4w light so pretty bright led to do a small spot to read by or work on small things. quite bright and convenient. $30 (was on sale last month for $20). great behind my tv recliner for extra reading light or when i fiddle with little stuff while watching tv.http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90214214/other is a little desk lamp version for $10. great reach of about 18". great for adding a little bit of spot lighting on detailed work on the work bench. great from the side to give a tad of contrast/shadow lighting to pop detail more. could also be nice in doing some macro lighting for closeup train photos.http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20169658/ the led color feels pretty neutral white.cheersjeff Link to comment
CaptOblivious
I have two of the desktop versions. Best desk lamp ever. Two ensures no shadows on your work! Link to comment
cteno4
I'm thinking of getting a few and ditching the bases and just putting the flex rod into a block of wood with a magnet on one side to slp on the bandsaws, jigsaw, and drill presses. Perfect for that little spot. And at $10 it's tough to beat to roll your own! Jeff Edited June 5, 2013 by cteno4 Link to comment
