Gora Posted January 22, 2014 Share Posted January 22, 2014 Yes they are Code 88's Dark, however I should note that these wagons have a greater propensity to derail than my 110 equipped Australian rolling stock. Given the Japanese kits all have a form of compensation, I think the kit is fine, it's just that my track is perhaps not smooth enough for Code 88 operation of these wagons in some areas. Other Code 88 I have are locos and these have no problems, but their weight would help in tracking. Cheers, Anderw Link to comment
Tetsudo Mokei Fan Posted April 22, 2014 Share Posted April 22, 2014 For those who interested in those wheelsets for Japan freight cars, you may try to source the KATO HO wheelsets which are available from USA (at least). I measured last time which is same as the ones used on the KATO HO TAKI Tankers and may be good for others. Only limitation is that they are all disc type and no spoke wheels or those with the 4 small holes type. Link to comment
