Nick_Burman
@ Takasaki. Two interesting things in particular: on the first train one can see some empty sheet/coil steel carriers folded up towards the rear (next to last car) of the train. The second thing is the "hospital train" - spot the oddball car on it! Cheers NB Edited May 26, 2013 by Nick_Burman 1 Link to comment

Perhaps the closest thing to a mixed freight that you can get on the railways now. That Taiheiyo Cement hoki 10000 sure does stand out. The train Hai 6795/6794 ferries freight cars between Kumagaya Freight Terminal and Tokyo Freight Terminal, a primary purpose of that to take freight cars for testing/inspection at JR-F's rolling stock facility in Kawasaki. Another scene of that train early this year, this time at Hama Kawasaki: *I'll have to change my opinion of the Takasaki Line a bit- it is not so boring after all, with those freight trains, at least below Kumagaya. BB, any other similar services elsewhere in Japan? Some surely odd mixes there...here in Brazil we would call it the "beginner modeller train set"... Cheers NB Link to comment
