Hi all. Good to be here and i am a new person to the area of Japanese railways. However, i have had a hankering for a Shinkansen set since a journey on it a few years back and have been drawn to plarail advance!

Seems so non realistic in some ways but has the essence IMHO.

i think what really attracts me is the sheer joy of being able to afford the trains, put the track together and enjoy!

I have some questions i hope you all can help me with and i am sure you will be patient!

the plarail advance stuff looked like lots of fun. like you said affordable and get the essence across! Have you looked at btrain shorties yet? another interesting take on doing things a little differently and a little more affordable in $$ and space!

 

whatever you enjoy thats what you should do!

Welcome Penybontshed, This is a great forum about all rail and other things Japanese. I have posted to your Plarail thread. I too am new to modeling Japanese trains, the wealth of knowledge from folks all over the world here is great. Enjoy!!
