Line Intrusion and Emergency Stop

Tobu Tojo line at Wako Station.The arrow points to trespassers who try to run across the tracks only to encounter a Tobu train at speed. There`s no reason to be at track level at this point.

One comment said this incident caused delays on the Yurakucho, Fukutoshin, and Toyoko Lines.

I thought the Tokyu driver that went by first might have reacted to them sitting on the wall, but he kept going. It must be one of the more stressful aspects of the job.

I hope the the author of the video took photos of them zoomed in and brought them to the police, they really have to get taught not to do this ever again.

The reaction is priceless, try to blend in with the wall! This could have been much worse than it was though and lucky they did not get hit. Have the authorities got anywhere with finding them?

Their foolish act caused delays definately... Since stops were made and thus all timing schedules for the line will definately be delayed too...

 

I think they freak out when they're running across and coming face to face with a rapid train!

No such luck. He didn't notice what caused the stop until during editing.

I'll almost bet that the Tokyo Metropolitan Police may know of this video and wanted to see the full-resolution 1080p version to find out who those two trespassers are. If found, those two are facing big fines and jail time.

"Stand flat against the wall and they won't see us", they are missing the same brain cells as their counterparts in Australia.

 

I reckon the driver of the first train might have radioed control of their presence who then warned the other trains to stop or the other two drivers overheard the conversation because the driver of the second train was pretty quick with the horn and brakes and I don't think the third would have been close enough to visually sight the trespassers himself, they were back over agianst the wall before the camera man panned around, but he still stopped.

 

The main thing to take note of though is how far past the kids both trains stopped even using emergency braking, if they hadn't turned back half the train would have run over them.

I don't think that this is the first time that these two idiots did this.  You don't just climb a wall like that to save a few seconds.  Unfortunately this is going to go on until somebody becomes a bloody spot.  If not these  two, then some of their friends.
