Jcarlton
I think that somebody makes Airstream trailors in N and HO. That would give you a start. You would still have to make the Chick's head, but that shouldn't be impossible. Edited April 21, 2013 by Jcarlton Link to comment
cteno4
looked around for tweety bird charms as the face is kind of a stylized tweety bird. nothing perfect, tweety birds usually have more cheek definition and eyes that are expressing something to work i think. probably easiest to do the whole thing out of polymer clay for the end and wood for the rest and just shape carefully. eyes could be decals to get them sharp. love the fried egg wheel covers! the little suv paint job would be the biggest amount of work! i wonder if bandai or tomytec did one of these or the company made their own toy that the little camera car was modeled out of. would be about the right size for a meal box toy! i love modeling japan, any odd little parking lot could have something like this going on! such a fun thing for the eye to find. i have my little collection of 1/144 dekotora trucks to do a little show in some odd field or parking lot! jeff Edited April 21, 2013 by cteno4 1 Link to comment
JR 500系
This is so SUPER SUPER 可愛い !! Super cute! Do one have to pay to go in and view the exhibits? For a moment, i thought it was the Chicken tram set i saw sometime back on Plaza Japan. Exactly the same chick i think... Just cant find it and put my finger on the maker of the set... Was it Kato or Tomix or Modemo? Searches on HS prove futile... There's definately a set like this... FOUND IT! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Streetcar-Tram-Chicken-Noodle-Train-Pocket-Line-Kato-14-501-2-N-scale-/121087279595?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item1c315d41eb#ht_2137wt_1255 Anyhow, here is the video of it when towed: It's really cute! cteno4
here is the schedule, stop on by! http://www.chikinramen.jp/japantour/#/map lots more photos, pretty funny seeing it in different scenes! really is a nice thing for a scene and could be moved around to great effect. those are the best little scene bits that can travel well like that. looks like the character has turned into a total merchandizing gig as well http://www.chikinramen.jp/hiyobo/reaction.html i also remember seeing the ads with the little kid dressed up in the chick costume. they even have different chick characters. pretty odd thought when you are the food you are eating is the character! that would mean that big macs are soylent green! funny to see all the ways folks like to cook their chikin ramen on youtube. jeff 1 Link to comment
