KenS
After tightening up my browser security, I noticed that the forum software is trying to invoke Javascript from ajax.googleapis.com. I'm not a fan of google watching my every move, or unnecessary Javascript of any origin, so they get blocked unless I really need them for something. Blocking it doesn't seem to break anything obvious, so I'm wondering what it's used for? This seems to only be happening on the login page. Link to comment
stevenh
It's either analytics or google maps. Nothing to be concerned about. Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
We only use google for analytics as well as jQuery/jQuery UI. If you block Google, a local version of jQuery is loaded instead, so all the interface features that are built using Javascript should still work. (I don't really trust Google with much myself, but their analytics is a really nice tool for webmasters ;)) Link to comment
